I tried both goggles without a helmet and like them, and I will go back later this week to try them with my helmet. Assuming they both fit well any opinions on which is the better goggle? The oakleys are on sale at my local shop right now, so the price is about the same. Either way I would go for one low light lens and one bluebird lens. Thanks,
first the I/o have a VERY flawed design. The open designe DOES NOT work in bad weather as snow get right on the foam and fogs the goggles. I have seen several I/O supportors on here fog in person when my Pheneom did not while skiing with them. In fact they will probably post in this thread about how awesome they are.
I have not tried the Oakley's Splice but oakley in general have better optics than smiths(or scotts elect) but the oakley's in the past tend to get scratch lens. I take crap care of my goggles though but smith tend to not scratch as fast for me but IMO the optics arent as good as the oakleys. I will say this the Splice wont fog in bad weather like the I/O do.
