I've been positioned slightly differently by different bootfitters/salesmen when doing a shell fit. Should the person trying on the boot be standing on the little railed step leaning, sitting on the bench, or somewhere in between? The length of my foot seems to change by a few millimeters (but notably) depending on whether my knees are slightly forward (as in a skiing stance) or when my leg is more straight up. Which is the correct way to be doing it?
If this info is somewhere, I apologize for not finding it. I did look in the wiki and tried a search, but so many threads reference shell fit that i might have missed it.
Thanks a lot!
