I'd imagine that this would be a rhetorical question for most of us here. What I mean, however, is how many of you essentially give up your Summer so that you can play more in the Winter/Spring?
Example: Most people I know like to take cruises in the Summer, take their family vacations (I'm sure to coincide with their children's vacations), do most of their traveling during these hot cursed months. I, on the other hand, work my tail off during the Summer and Fall, busting out 80 hour work weeks, blowing off my friends and family, and give up my much of my social life, so that I can maximize my time in the Mountains.
Sometimes it's lonely being one of the lone skiers in this town, but I don't care. I hate the Summer and our South Texas heat. I only live like an hour and half from nice white sand beaches, but I rarely go, because I'm so focused on the upcoming ski season. Maybe I should get into kite surfing next year. Are you like me, or are you better about achieving a good balance between the two...maybe something I should try next year.
