When training instructors, at what level do we introduce the pole plant? I have always been in the belife to have a light introduction at L5 with pushing / skating, how to carry and stationary pole swings, traverse, ect.

Should you have to train instructors to use their poles?
|No, I want to know what at what level trainers and examiners want their instructors to introduce the pole plant to their clients.|

Now Wigs, I touch the poles rather more often than somewhat!
Poles suck except in crowded lift lines or going up hill. The knucle dragger's were smart enough not to use them. We have them cause poles have been with us from the old days. They cause more problems than the're worth. They suck I tell yah they suck!

Is there an intuitive "logic" suggesting that if we extend our feet with skis we should also extend our hands with poles to enlarge our sphere of balance in proportion to the enlarged base of support?
Just curious........
