I dig watching the latest skiporn from Teton, Matchstick and Warren Miller every fall, but let's face it; most of us will never have the nerve to huck off a 100 foot cliff or the money to heli ski in Alaska.
What gets me psyched is films featuring schralping deep powder in the trees after an epic storm. Why? Because although I will never match the movie guy's speed, grace, strength, and yes, cliff drops, that kind of skiing is something I can sorta do. I imagine it is the holy grail for a lot of us.
So what is the best ski movie for that kind of vicarious "I'm gonna do that when I get to Fernie" shots?
