I just purchased 2011 28.5 Krypton Pro's (gold thermo fit liner), upgrading from 2006-2007 29.5 Krypton Cross's (silver thermo fit liner). My foot length is 283 mm, forefoot (side to side max width) is 109 mm, and heel width is 79 mm. The shell length fit is good and the width is just touching. Also, I am 6', 230 lbs, level 8 (type III).
I will get them fitted later this week and the fitter I will be using said I may not need custom footbeds as the stock are very good. All of my previous boots including the Cross had custom footbeds.
1. As I am going to a smaller shell would custom foot beds cause "too tight" issues not easily resolved ?
2. Your thoughts on the stock Dalbello vs custom beds ?
My gut says stick with the custom beds. As I have snapped a few foot bones/toes since buying the Cross's, new footbeds would be in order vs using the old ones which have almost 200 days on them
As always, thankful for your feedback - Falcon_O aka Charlie
