By narrow, I mean 2 ski lengths or so. Like the Needle at Squaw.
When I ski a narrow couloir in packed or firm conditions, I end up with the skis totally perpendicular to the fall line, and maybe a bit of skid at the end of the turn, going just straight down, with no forward or back movement.
If there is powder, deeper than a foot or so, I am having more trouble linking turns when It's narrow.
If I finish the turn completely, the next turn feels kind of forced, like i'm losing the stored energy in the ski.
