Just an FYI, for AmEx members regarding skiing

If you check out their points for their charge cards, they've posted a bunch of ski resorts which you can purchase lift tickets, lessons, and lodgings for points. They cost a lot of points... but I know I'll be using them.

Just to elaborate on this a little, he's talking about Membership Rewards Points.  You could earn these on Green, Gold, Platinum, Black, Blue, and other cards.

Google "Membership Rewards" and go to the site.  It's a great way to get a "deal" on lift tickets that rarely else go on sale (ie. Vail).

Jackson Hole and Steamboat are actually on there... what surprised me the most. I hardly ever use my points for anything, so I'll at least put them to use with this.

Yeah, I've used these for some years, as Steamboat, Vail, and JH don't really do discounts otherwise. Maybe with lodging, but that's about it.
