  • Anyone using a PC with screen resolution less than 992 wide
  • Anyone using an I-Touch
  • Anyone using an IPad
  • Anyone using any mobile device
  • Anyone using a browser that's not maximized to fill the entire screen.

Hardly an insignificant percentage of the population.

Pardon my ignorance here, but don't most of these devices operate in landscape mode pretty easily?

Huddler has agreed to remedy our wide posting problem and Epicski will be the first to get this upgrade.

There is a tradeoff.  A little over a dozen of us are using the Classic Skin.  If you have never seen it, it is a choice in My Profile / Edit Account Details / Visual Preferences.  It is a subdued blue and white skin reminiscent of our old vBulletin look.  I changed to Epicski Blue and White a few weeks ago and am surviving the transition.  There are very few users of this skin, and it causes a disproportionate amount of time to maintain this as a choice.  In order to fix the problem being described in this thread, I'm proposing to give it up.

Once this change occurs, the option that currently allows you to choose the skin, will be an option to let you look at a a narrower fixed width, or the default width format.  I hope this works for our members, and if you are using the "Classic" skin, get out your sunglasses.

I used to use the Classic skin but HAD to change at some point, I forget why.

Who has implemented the fixed-width option?

Just curious if all the members who posted in this thread updated their profile to use the fixed width.

I ripped out my hack and used the forum's fixed width option as soon as it was available.

A belated thanks for fixing this.
