When not renting through a resort

"Generally" we rent a condo through the resort and are able to take advantage of their Lodging/Lift discounts.  We are planning a trip to Breckenridge(spring 2011 4 days of skiing)and have access to a condo unaffillated with the resort.  Other than their online early book lift ticket prices, are their other avenues i should be looking at to find better ticket prices?

With only skiing 4 days its not going to be easy.  An online 4 day ticket may be your best bet.  A Summit pass makes sense for skiing more than 5-6 days.  Season pass holders do get a number of discounted tickets.  I have been approached by people at the gondola base asking if they could use one of mine.  But you can't count on that.

If you really want a deal, consider bartering.  I once got a call out of the blue from a Southwest flight attendant and I ended up with two flight vouchers.  In return, she got 6 comp tickets from me and free rental skis while she was on vacation.  A few cases of beer is probably worth some comp tickets to the right person.  Call the HR department (or some backoffice staff) and tell them what you're interested in doing and see what happens.

When in the spring?  If you mean April, then you're probably going to get a great deal on end of season tickets anyway.

What are the dates that you want to ski and at which resorts?

A good thought.

However.... I was told at employee orientation by the HR rep "Don't GET CAUGHT selling your comp tickets".  (That exact emphasis.)   It can result in termination.

What others have said for Breck.  In the area, Loveland has an online 4 pak for $119 that are transferable and can all be used same day.
