So You Think You Know about ... FASHION?

So You Think You Know about ... FASHION?

Fashions change year after year so lots of people can make piles of money. If folks are convinced that they need a different look each season, that this year's sweater's length and shoes style are important, they can be persuaded to buy buy buy. The fashion industry would have you ignore your shortcomings and just make you feel beautiful and happy. In fact it is not only a phenomenon we can find in people's dressing.

So you like fashion(NHL) ...

you wear fashionMontreal Canadiens #76 PK Subban Red ...

you read fashion(Montreal Canadiens) ...

you watch fashion(Olympic Team Canada) ...

you listen to fashionWashington Capitals  ...

you even EAT fashionNFL! ...

but what do you really know about it?New York Giants

Try to answer the following questions before you claim that you are an expert infashion.

  1. Why do many women wear red lipstick?

  2. Why do many men have short hair or shaved heads?

  3. What are the four fashion capitals of the world?

4. Why do models walk up and down in a fashion show?

1).  Nobody can ever pretend to know why a woman does something.  End of story.

2).  Because I'm lazy.

3).  Newark, Deleware (Gore Tex HQ), Hvalstad, Norway (Norrona HQ), North Van, BC (Arcteryx HQ), and Richmond, CA (MH HQ).

4).  Because when the lifts can't take you where you want to go, you can't ski down if you don't walk up! (skintrack fashion shows are sooooooooooooo cutting edge!)

Really tho...  People here are more likely to know the breathability of the new Gore PacLite than the hottest trend coming out of Milan.  Really- unless it's new carbon layup tech, a fresh cut at our fav resort or new rocker specs, most of us don't really care.

My haircut is based on the fact that when I get out of the shower and the towel leaves my head, my hair care for the day is done.  Also prevents helmet head.

When your idea of fashion is tied to professional entertainment teams, I think you have a problem with your definition.  Same for your definition of health, and sport for that matter.

Wear black.

black is easy to match

grey goes well with black

many lycra things are black

helmets and goggles are always available in black as is that 450hp AudiRS5

soooo, black is back

Bug complaint.  I can't read the whole post of item one, even full screen, even tiny fonts.  Probably due to cutting and pasting from another source.  It's not wrapping, it's going off the side of the page.

Actually, although like Johnny Cash, I find it's easier to wear black than to go on a diet, the problem is if you own Siberian huskies, everyone knows it.
