He was nice and humorous enough to comply with the request. the mountain for scale thing was to keep it humorous. I'm struck by the fact that he and I are the opposite poles of the skier size thing.

Well posts on this forum shouldn't be any different.  If you aren't a jerk in person, then why be one online?  I haven't attacked anybody here.  Yes I love living this close to snowbird and I say it a lot because I'm grateful for what I have, but I also refrain from saying things like "Snowbird is the best", I say things like "snowbird consistently has really good powder skiing"  or "snowbird has some of the best powder skiing in north america"  because it does.  It's an awesome ski hill and I'm amazingly thankful for being able to live so close to it and ski there whenever I like.  I haven't attacked anybody here unless they were a jerk to me first, and I get sick of people attacking me for anything/everything.  I mean I was told I need skiing lessons, I WAS AN INSTRUCTOR 25 YEARS AGO!  Good grief, I get sick of the SHIT.

I have lots of videos.  How about this one for starters ( my buddy makes a comment about my size skiing in the powder at about 1:00 into the video )....

Oh boy, why am I doing this again?  I'm sure it'll just bring criticism.  Shoot, but OK here's a couple more...

Make sure you watch 3:30 until about 4:00 on this one, yes it's a BLUE run for all you rating lovers, but LOOK HOW AWESOME THE POWDER WAS, LOL.  Good think I didn't miss it looking for only double black diamonds, LOL.

Here's another one from the same day...

When my buddy was talking about 1603 the day before, it was because of my powerlifting meet the day before, I squatted 617, benched 407, and deadlifed 579...

Oh wait I can't post any videos without posting this one....  May fricking 2nd after SEVEN FEET OF SNOW over the previous 7 days ( yeah snowbird SUCKS balls, LOL )...

Actually, I think this is probably one of the best videos from last season... Me skiing Gad II on my fatypus after 20" of new the night before.

OK here's one that shows how tall I am ( I made it 2 years ago, I'm bigger/stronger now )...

The haters can all HATE because that's what they do, but I think it's clear that I love skiing and have had some really good times up on the hill.  THAT's what maters to me, not how steep the run is or how it's labeled, that means nothing to me.  I compete at other sports, not skiing, skiing is pure enjoyment as it was intended, IMHO.

For anybody who's cares, my videos have lots of Creed and Boston for the audio because youtube wouldn't censor those bands, I do listen to many other groups, LOL.

no video from March 13 to April 16 as I was in the hospital. I prefer the illusion that it didn't snow for that time. After that I was pretty much sidelined. I'll check out the others however.

UPP, you're pretty funny, and we've not really picked up on that before. maybe a new comic mofif, really huge big guy jokes.

You're clueless.  I did say something about your comment the rating system, I said: the rating system is meaningless to me, I don't look at signs, I ski the mountain.  Who gives a crap what color the fricken sign is, LOL.

LOL

If you don't care then why are you responding to my post?    seems if you didn't care then you surely wouldn't care what anyone else thinks either.

If I take another trip out there this year perhaps you can show me where the good runs are.  Seriously...    But i'm still sticking to my guns about the rating system.  .

UPP...  Thanks for the videos.  This site needs content and I, for one, enjoyed them.  There are a lot of posers on Epic and most of us don't even know who we are.

Last one in, first one out, eh? You really do love to ski. heck, yeah! They still have that expanded mesh steel decking at the top? I remember the sound of a stampede one of the first days the tram ran.

Yeah, and when its crowded you get to push people in, HAHAHAHA.  ( That's also kind of a joke, I never push hard ).  There's always more room getting in last, so yeah I'm always the last one on the tram, always.  it's looking like I'm going to get a solitude pass this winter though.

Oh it wasn't me that was supposed to find the alleged 6'8" guy anyway.  That was for somebody else.  I was just pointing out some unintended outcomes of the scenario.  I won't be hunting out 6'8" guys myself, even though I'm 6'5" and may stand a chance, I can't even pretend to be E-tough.  I'm like a puppy.

Although my local ski hill usually has night skiing on Wed. through Friday, the idiots who run my local ski hill decided to close it for night skiing during "March Break"  hopmad.gif By the time I get off work it's closed.  There won't be any snow by the week end.hissyfit.gif

This goes for EVERY D#*n Ski Area in Vermont!

They are all 3000 feet too close to the ocean!

;_)

1) 135 foot vertical

2) Parents who let their kids (who can't turn or stop) crash into the lift lines.

3) It's closed :(

thanks for the bump Ghost, a good thread to abuse

Kirkwood ought to stop the nightly mowing of the top half of Look-Out-Yanek directly below the Cornice Express quad chair.   Once upon a time years ago it was one of the best mogul runs in the region.    It is true a lot of the new generation of skiers although competent on the rest of the mountain are rather pathetic trying to ski a line of moguls.   So fine.  As a compromose they could at least leave a line or two wide lane of bumps to ski on the trail edge that is bordered by hemlock and firs on each side. Similar situation has of course played out at a number of other USA resorts as we undesirables have become outcasts.

Isn't this whole forum about pet peeves?

My Pet Peeve of China Peak now, is their overhyping of the "Andy Finch" designed Terrain Park.

It still sucks.

And now they've stopped grooming worth a d*mn too.
