Just soliciting some advice here. My wife and I both work here in Grand Junction in an audiologists office (selling hearing aids and giving hearing/balance tests), she's the audiologist, I just work in the office making appointments, data entry and doing shipping/receiving stuff, staring at a computer all day. Being a caddy at Bandon Dunes on the Oregon coast was my favorite job ever, but we moved out here for my wife.
Now, she realizes I'm not in my dream job, and I off handedly mentioned working in Vail over the winter, almost expecting a back hand to the face., even if I was just a lifty. Turns out she thinks it's a really good idea. Her parents have a place there where I can live, and she and I would commute to see each other (plus we both have epic passes, so she'll come up to ski on the weekends). I know Warren Miller always says, if you don't do it this year, you'll be one year older when you do.
SO, should I do it?
Anybody have any better ideas for a job up there for a college grad who presents himself in a professional manner? A connection to a decent job in Vail would be AMAZING! I would think apprentice ski patrol would be ideal, or driving a groomer maybe?
