I'm thinking about looking into some new boots. I'm 38 years old, skiing since I was 6, got in 40+ days last year, hoping to do the same this year. I ski all over the mountain, including the park when I have my kids with me (and sometimes even when I don't). I most enjoy the steep stuff and moguls - I'd sooner turn than go fast. But I'm not much into cruiser runs.
I have a slightly wider than normal foot, with a high instep, high arch, low and wide calfs, regular ankles.
I'm in a 5 year old pair of Rossi Bandits. But last year I had repeated issues with black-toe, and I'm hoping that maybe some new better fitting boots will alleviate that issue.
Any suggestions? Doing my research now before I check out a fitter (like perhaps Lou).
