New gear nightmare...literally

Two nights ago I was getting ready to buy finndogs old icelantic nomad SFT's in a 181. That night I went to sleep and had a terrible dream. I went to pick them up at his house and Finn whips out two long, wide, floppy things that resembled snowboard, or even surf board duffle bags. He slapped the bindings on top, 9 din, neon yellow markers, and said there you go! 181 WAISTED soft skis! Have fun!
What a terrible dream.

I did say it was a terrible dream...

But yeah, being worried about whether or not these are TOO soft, and then seeing you, or whoever I picture you being anyways, putting them on the counter and unrolling them like long duffle bags in my dream...I think I woke up in a cold sweat, yelling in my head, "NO!  That's waaaaay too soft!"

wow thats a rough dream, cant say we all havnt had dreams about skiing before, i had a dream i had a huge coreshot in my ski, woke up and i did, guess i was too tired when i got back from the hill to really inspect my gear, had dreams that it was snowing and woke up to a foot of pow, those are the best, let me know what you think of the nomads, ive been thinking about a pair for quite a while

they are definitely not noodles, the standard nomads are very stiff so these are just 30% less, most of that flex is in the tips and tails. its still a torsionally stiff ski. The Icelantic pro-rider at Steamboat prefers the SFT's to the regulars. It's really a fantastic ski. I have no reason to change other than I like to ski different skis and I wanted a rockered ski this season. So don't worry, they are not pocket rockets or even as soft as Hb's.

Kinda like the Soft BRO's aren't really soft?

probably :)  the tips are soft and act almost like a rocker in deeper pow, they will bend and allow the ski to plane up but you won't get tip flap when on groomers with them.

I really did want something with a tip rocker and some taper, but I couldn't find good enough Lhasa Pow's in my price range.  Nobody wants to get rid of theirs, or they have 5 core shots and have been drilled through and all that kinda stuff.  Lhasa Pow - oh yes, she will be mine.  Come May I'm going to be cruisin craigslist for a pair.  In the mean time, I'm sweating waiting for these to arrive.
