These skis have passed through a few epic hands, starting with Rio.  I never skied on them.  They have Rossi Axial 100 Demo bindings on them.

It's time to pass them on to the next deserving skier.  I reserve the right to arbitrarily decide who to give them to, based on their participation in Epic.

Skis are being passed on to the worthy JamesJ.

JamesJ -

Enjoy the skis.  They are still the best heavy powder & crud ski I've ever skied.

I normally ski on icy hardpack, which is probably not ideal for this ski, but last year was unusual and seven or eight of my East Coast ski days were in deep/cut-up/fresh snow conditions. Thanks to the Epicski Brotherhood of Traveling Skis these will be an interesting option from my narrow RX-8's on such days

Last year those skis sat in my garage while I spent the entire season on my Progressor 8+'s working towards a PSIA exam.

In the Northeast I kept waiting for a powder day, but we never really had them.  By the time my Vail trip came I was uncomfortable with the thought of these being my only skis for 2 weeks, as I hadn't even tried them, so I brought the Progessors, which in spite of all the snow we had those 2 weeks served me well.  I look forward this year to using the S3's at Vail.

Sorry Rio that I never skied on them, but it just kept them in better shape for the next owner.

I don't have a problem with that but I bet VolantAddict is highly disappointed in you.

I think he gets to ski in a little more snow then I do though!

There's a skier on my home hill who also skis only Volants and actually reminds me a bit of VA in looks.  I considered selling these to him cheap, but had to keep to my vow to return them to the community.

If I'd gotten the skis when you first had the "contest" that year had more East Coast snow and I was in more of a playful place in my skiing.  Focusing so hard on a skiing exam doesn't encourage playfulness.

Yeah, they are a great all-around soft snow ski. They really aren't much of a step down on powder from the Spatula IMO, and much better in chop, that's why I've bought two more pair after breaking one of my original pair, which I beat mercilessly.

DAMN - I've been  looking for some 175 V2s for a good while. I finally settled for some older Chubbs last year and they were disappointing - too straight. Anyone else that's tired of their 175 V2's with movable bindings please let me know.
