New season is coming up, and I might be a bit late on this, but I'm looking for some good recommendations on an everday 50:50/60:40 ski for some good trips to Mad River Glen every now and then, but still not sacrificing too much groomer performance on the 'ice' coast.
I'm 172lbs, 6'1", and a pretty advanced skier, normally really fast and hard on my skis while on the groomers, but still getting used to powder and moguls. Not an expert, mind you, but since I'm looking to ski more powder and bumps, my 175 Tigersharks aren't going to do very well.
I was looking at the Atomic Snoop Daddy primarily, because a friend of mine has them and says he can go absolutely anywhere with them. Online reviews are promising, as well. I can't decide on length, because they're different as per year, however. 09' or 10' are fine. At this point I'm more akin to skiing groomers, but I'm looking to lean more towards soft stuff in the future. Trips to MRG are getting more frequent than those the Killington or others. I'm looking to sell the old tigersharks, so anything under ~$500 with or without bindings would be great. Binding recommendations are appreciated, too .
Any suggestions are welcome! If you need more details, please ask.
