I had not heard about this.  Thanks for posting it.

My Tahoe card last year was supposed to come with a subscription to Freeskier.  I have yet to receive an issue.

I gave in.  Bought another Tahoe Card.

This includes the ski show in San Jose (Santa Clara Conv. Center) too, right?  Last year I also doubled-up with free tickets and used one (I think) at S at T.  Free tickets don't suck, provided there is early snow coverage.

True the ones from the snow show are restricted to early or late season.  The ones that come with the card though only have holiday blackout dates or are midweek tickets.

Actually the Festival tix are not only pre season. The Bear and Dodge Ridge tix are valid all season long, just midweek....The China Peak ticket is good everyday but only till Dec 20...

Starting in Jan, the Ski Free Lift Tickets are back

I recently received an email for this seasons Tahoe Card.  The benefits are similar to last year but now three lift tickets included in the price.  Below is taken from the website:

  1. FREE lift ticket to Kirkwood

  2. FREE lift ticket to Alpine Meadows OR Homewood
  3. FREE lift ticket to Dodge Ridge

  4. FREE two night stay at Grand Sierra Resort

  5. FREE Entry to the Snowbomb Ski and Snowboard Festival

  6. $5-$20 OFF every ticket purchased to 15+ mountain resorts

  7. FREE rentals, tune-ups and waxes at multiple shops from San Francisco to Reno.

  8. A one-year magazine subscription to your choice of SKI or Transworld Snowboard Magazine.

  9. Unlimited access to discount lodging, dining and more all season long.

You can get more free tickets at the Snowbomb festival.  It is a good deal for a family guy like me who doesn't want to ski the same area all year long.  I'll likely use all the free lift tickets and the x-country trail passes.

Some of these benefits will work very well for The Gathering 2012!

Yeah we got burned by the same thing last year.

I don't even know... what does it cost to ski Tahoe?

I think most lift tickets there are in the $70 range.

The Tahoe Card gets you 4 lift tickets for $60....2 1/2 of which aren't even near Tahoe.  Dodge Ridge and China Peak are well away.  Kirkwood is kind of near.  The only real Tahoe resort the Tahoe Card gets you this year is Alpine Meadows.

I bought one anyway.
