And there will be no "window shopping", unless it is a DIN window and this will not be a garage sale either, since you don't have a garage (don't even ask about the lawn). Oh..I forgot, everyone out here in this neck of the country has "tag sales", since everything should be tagged, it could be considered that.

I want to check out the new 2011 Bridge, its wider this year and has the same rocker profile as the Gotama, hmmmm I really like the Gotama but a slightly lighter and skinnier gotama sounds like it's worth at least a try.
The MX88 is one of those rare skis that can transcend dimensions. Although it is 88 underfoot, when you ski it on hardback, it feels like it is 80mm, the next run you might get into crud and munk it feels 95mm. It is as close to a perfect ski as I ever recall skiing. There are many skis that have dimensions similar but none have the "feel" of this ski. There is not a person I put on the MX88 that didn't come back saying it was either THE best or one of the best skis they have ever skied"..well, few have not come back and they just called in with their credit card number saying "I am keeping these, so just charge my card". Like SJ, I test around 75 different skis in a season, the MX88 is the standard that I judge all 80-100mm waisted skis against.
The new 98 is a bit more off Piste-ish with less metal than the MX88 and a slight early rise. For what you are looking for, I think the 88 is a better choice. The old MX98 might been a better choice than the new one w/o the early rise and more metal but even if they still made that ski [bows head] May it rest in peace [/bows head], I would still suggest the MX88 for you.
