Is Summer Over Yet?

We've had frost on the ground the last two mornings.

The cottonwood leaves are starting to turn yellow.

I'm hearing elk bugling every night.

It won't be long now.

hey there

well checking in with a weather report from down under- spring is neeeearly here- a few spring flowers popping up in the garden and I am managing to get by without the icebreaker merino !

plenty of rain still pumping through, and some pretty good snow still falling in the south island mountains

i remember we were busy with world heli challenge this time last year- maybe had the event a tad early this year.?

anyway hope the fall in the northern hem is lining up for a winter full of powder - and we will soon be hitting the beaches for surfing without the steamer wetsuits .yeehaa and no need for wet weather gear on the mountain bike rides.

also hope its ok for calling out some good luck to exstreamtv shareholder Paige Hareb in the next round of womens surf event in Spain. Paigo is up against Laura Enever who is in red hot form just now .go kiwi

catch y'all soonish

from sb and exstreamtv crew

ciao for now

Our seasons are offset here in California (August average warmest month most places and September on the beaches), but this year has been extreme.  Weather was unusually cool through all of July (San Diego had coolest July since 1933) and first 2 weeks of August.  Now it's been 90-100+ for a week and a half.  It's supposed to go cool again this weekend, but we will likely see plenty more heat sometime during the next 2 months.

In NorCal the leaves on some trees are starting to change, due to the really wet spring.  But it has been way too hot for the summer to be over.  Besides, summer can't be over until the golf courses start promoting winter rates.
