Sweetgrass Productions " Signatures"

I have had a very bad experience dealing with Sweetgrass Productions and wondered if anyone else had any issues.

Over 3 months ago I orderd and payed for 2 copies of the Dvd Signatures .

After a couple of months I again emailed them and a couple of days later I recieved an email back from Zac of Sweetgrass apoligising for the delay and telling me that he was in Sth America filming but whould contact Stateside and get back to me within the week. That was a couple of months ago and have never heard from them again, despite emailing them numerous times at their various email addresses.

One copy was to be for my 82 yo, skiing pioneer, Dads birthday which has now come and gone. I come back from working in the mines every week with the hope that the Dvds will have turned up all at least they will have repled to my emails but nothing.

My mate said he had heard a rumour that Sweetgrass were in financial difficulties and that may be why I have heard nothing back from them. I hope this is not the case.

Whats pissing me off most apart from my money being flogged is I am really hanging out to watch the movie. I was over in Niseko in Jan this year and after the best powder skiing of my life have rebooked for Jan 2011. As this was shot in Hokkaido Japan I thought it would keep me going until my next trip there.

Any thoughts anyone !

Good news ,

I have had a reply from Nick of Sweetgrass and they are indeed alive and kicking and will follow up the non delivery for me.

Everyone I have spoken to regarding my issue has only had good things to say about the Sweetgrass crew so I am really looking forwards to finally recieving ny copies of " Signatures' and spending many hours viewing it until I again return to Hokkaido in 2011

Glad it worked out for you. How about posting a review once you see it?

Nolo,

When I have watched it I will do a review. If you type "Signatures " movie trailer into youtube they have a couple of trailers on there. It is all shot in Hokkaido Japan and is over a whole season for the full 5 months. It appears to be a real soul movie and covers all aspects of  the powder experience and includes telemarking , snowboarding, freeboarding and of cause fat powder skis.

Glad you got a hold of them, but of course, until you actually receive the movie, I wouldn't count your chickens.  Was it the Facebook connection or something else that did it?

No mate,

Nick from Sweetgrass ended up emailing me and was still on his way back from Sth America and you are right I still have not got the Dvds but I stick at it.

Have you seen the movie trailers yet. Go to Youtube.com and type in " Signatures Trailers " and check it out .

The other really good Japan footage is the first segment in the movie  "Reasons' ,the Poorboyz production
