The Cat Pic Thread

I was going to say try to take you cat on a hike.  Then I found this. Something about this just doesn't seem right.

The Cat Pic Thread

Surely we've all seen our best friends in the Dog Pic thread.  But what about us cat lovers?

This is my late cat "Dinner".  She was named such by my Chinese student pilots I was teaching in Phoenix a few years ago.  I thought it was funny.

I adopted her from a friend that had three cats, and this one was diagnosed with FELV.  I was hoping she'd live a long normal life but it wasn't so, and she only made it about a year and a half before I had to put her down. :(  She was a super loveable cat though and always slept in my bed with me. (I had no choice)

our old cat Rocky (our dogs best friend) got into a disagreement with a neighbor cat 2 years ago and lost an eye.

The garage is his outdoors now and his new nick name is Winky.

He is cool with it.

My 2 cats. We got both of them when they were very small, they're now 5 yrs old. The orange one was near death when we took him in. It had an infection with puss running out it's eyes & nose. Still has it running out one eye, we were told it will never totally clear up despite numerous attempts by the vet. Both were stray cats

Sure, your dog can fetch, but Jackson has a bushy tail.

I am a cat lover.  Really I am an animal lover but I prefer cats as pets.  It's hard to take off for a weekend of skiing with dogs if you don't have someone to watch them but our cats are fine for 3 or 4 days without us.

T.C. (Typical Cat). Seen here very closely guarding her mint bush. Dunno why. She was staying at my Ma's house, and she was left outside over night. Never came home... frown.gif

Just plain funny

The Cat's Diary

Day 983 of My Captivity

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now ...

Teh kitteh.jpgThis is Kitteh.  I took this with my Android phone this morning while she was lounging on the bed with me.  We and our vet think she's 2-3 years old.  She showed up at our door meowing pitifully last December when it was about -15F. We let her in and as soon as I sat down she hopped up in my lap and started purring.  She was very thin.  She was one of our jerky neighbors' barn cats.  As far as we know they purchased three of these little cuties as kittens and put them in their $50,000 barn.  One of the them has adopted another neighbor although it lives outside a lot.  We see one or possibly two outside sometimes but their markings are so similar it's hard to tell them apart.  She is now an indoor cat after I came home from work one day and found two dead songbirds on the deck by the feeders and it was very obvious they had been killed by a cat.  I had surgery in May and was confined to the recliner for a week and she pretty much just lived in my lap during that week.  She hops up on the bed every morning when the alarm goes off.  We have another cat which is actually our son's cat but he's off at college.  At one time we had 3 cats, 4 dogs and 9 horses.  We've sold or given away all the horses, all the dogs have died(2 since mid June) and 2 of the original cats have died.  Eventually we'll get another dog, probably a rescue Corgi, but right now it's too soon after the last dog died.
