Nice!  Almost was going to go to Arosa this winter.  It'll be Zermatt instead this year, probably Arosa the following

Thanks for the pictures.  I got to ski in Arosa about 10 yrs. ago.  Great place!  Very clean, uncrowded, friendly, modern & a lot of skiing.  We drove up instead of taking the train, the road was a memorable journey in itself.

Wow, looks uncrowded, especially for March. Did you ski over from Davos?

I gotta ski Europe!  That is what a ski region is supposed to look like.

Those pics are sooo sweet, thank you.

Arosa is popular as a family resort because of the number of blues and easy reds. So, since it wasn't anywhere near European school holidays, it was pretty quiet. I'm sure it gets much busier in February and around Easter.

I skied four days there and then went to Zurich for a couple of days of sight-seeing. There was enough off-piste terrain to keep me entertained for that time, so it was a good trip.

I'll probably go to Davos sometime in the next couple of years.

There are some purpose-built resorts (mostly in France) that aren't so pleasing on the eye. But, most places I've been to in Europe are really quite nice. I especially like the ones you can take the train to. I love the train ride through the mountains.

Arosa isn't a huge area in European terms, but it's big enough to keep you entertained for a few days, especially if you explore the areas between all the pistes. The town is quite nice, and the restaurants are reasonably (for European ski resorts) priced and tasty.
