Jim can you tell me the difference  in construction and perfomance between  2010  HR Pro Jet Fuel  CA  and the 2011 HR Pro Jet Fuel    I Core   Thank you

I-Core refers to Isocore. It is a reinforced foam material that has been used off and on for years in higher end skis (especially racing skis). There are several instances in Nordica's 2011 lineup where a stringer of this material runs down the center of the core in place of a couple of the wood laminates. It offers a bit of weight reduction, a nice marketing opportunity and no real negatives.

^^^^^Suspect this is similar stuff to what Stockli uses in many of their cores, perhaps also Dynastar. So not shabby. But as SJ says, not dramatically different either, if Stockli is any guide. Just a touch lighter and marginally less damp than straight wood.

But more importantly...what is Nordica putting into their boots these days?
