This particular video made me think of the countless threads about skiing in control, who's responsible, and who's not......
"60 pine cones up my butt...."
"(Lady in pink).....I'm going in......"
Reminds me of a day at Sol Vista. It was my kids first trip to CO and before I took them to Winter Park I wanted to get them a day on something smaller, hence Sol Vista. So we're on the quad going up and down the hill comes a teen-age boy. He's bombing straight down the slope, his coat is open and flapping, his arms are flailing the air, and he his screaming at the top of his lungs. As he went by us, we heard the Doppler sound shift in his screaming. You know, like when a train or race car passes close by, the change in the pitch of the sound.
I took the opportunity to impress upon my children the importance of skiing under control and to not just tuck and run. When we got down the hill, an medic was just closing the doors on an ambulance. I wonder if that kid was in the back.
