ON3P Skis

I haven't seen much discussion of this company here on Epic. Does anyone know much about their skis? I'm interested in some more info about the Billy Goat, specifically.

There is also a ton of discussion at TGR & NS

Here is a TGR thread on their stuff for next year, and another with ski reviews.  Keep scrolling down the reviews and you'll get to ON3P skis. They have about a half dozen on the Billy Goat, but that ski is being tweaked slightly for next season. If you read the other thread they talk about it.  Iggyskier is the owner of the company. I just ordered a pair of the new Viciks.  They are taking pre-orders for next year's skis until the 23rd of this month, which saves you $150.

Those guys are truely amazing.  I talked to them several times about which skis to get, and then after I ordered the Viciks we discussed adding a tad bit of extra carbon underfoot to stiffen them up slightly, because of my weight.  Custom handmade skis for $550!  That's half of the full retail price of fatty Volkls made in China.

Build quality is second to none. Just picked up a pair of last year's Billy Goat from Rowen. Cannot wait for the snow to fall.  Rowen and Scott Adams (Iggyskier) are the two individual owners of ON3P.

Fixed it for you.

Thanks for the links/input. I had been through the TGR reviews, but I'm not sure how I missed those other threads. Now, if I'm 6'1'' 155lbs, should I go with the 176 or 186 Billy Goats? I was thinking 186, but a few have said the 186 is more like 190, and that seems quite big.

The 186 is a true 186 measure tip to tail. Not 186cm's of material laid flat. All that being said the 186 is VERY nimble. I think you might find the 176 to be to short at your height. I'm 5'9' and loved the 186 when i demoed it. Now that they have added a little extra width, and sidecut in the tail it's going to be my go to pow ski. With the Vicik being my daily driver.

Ok, thanks. I think 186 seems right too. I might just have to pull the trigger on these. I've haven't had the need or the money to justify a powder ski before this year, and $550 for a hand made ski with the quality that I hear ON3P puts out seems almost too good to pass up.

The BGs measure long, but they are twin tips, so you lose about 10cm, plus the rocker on both ends.  Check the specs on the ON3P website. They will give you the running length  (center in contact on flat snow)  of the ski, which is 117cm for the 186 BGs.  They are designed to be turny and good in the trees, so they should ski short. As for quality, their edges are about twice as thick as other skis, and the bases are supposed to be pretty bomb proof.

Best made skis on the market right now, and with the presale, some of the cheapest. Scott & Rowen are great guys too. I bought 191 Wrens last year and loved them, and have also ordered 191 Caylors for next year.

Just ordered some BG's I'll let you know what you missed out on if you opt out.

In all seriousness. Give them a call or e-mail. They are always willing to help you make a decision that suits YOU. You can't get that kind of service from a big manufacturer.

Scott just announced on TGR that the Pre-Sale is going until the end of July.  Get'm while they're hot!

If you want, you can use my discount code, #1333 to save a few extra bucks.  It ends up saving me money to if you use it, so let me know if you do.  I rode the 186 Billy Goats all last spring.  You will not be disappointed.  You can definitely handle the 186s, unless you are a total noob.

Just wanted to bump this up with a pic of my new 12/13 186 Billy Goat Tours with the wood veneer option and blaze orange bases.

Finally got them mounted up with quiverkillers and bindings so I wanted to spready some ON3P porn around.  They are so incredibly clean and sexy, I can't stop looking a them!

Those are sure purdy! Is that veneer Koa? good call on the Pivots. congrats.

Gotta say. Trevor is doing some great stuff with the graphics. Dude is real creative. Gotta kind of kick myself for not jumping in the veneers.

The Billygoat is the Porsce 911 of the ski world.

The shape has become the default 3D snow design, every maker has their analogous model, Bent Chetlers, Fujas, RP112, S7 yadda yadda yadda.

ON3P came across this profile after many tries, and this latest incarnation looks like perfection, like a C4S Porsche, it can go anywhere, as fast or slowly as you desire.

I have retired my original Billygoats(90mm tail) and plan on an update at some point.

Here's another one I found.
