You have plenty of stuff so......what do you want to improve?

If it were me, I'd trade in the Pocket Rockets for something a little more polyvalent in that width range and I'd call it good. (You could consider a Blizzard Atlas, Dynastar Sultan 94, Salomon Sentinel among others)

Well what do I want to improve?

To be honest I am very happy with my line up, would be hard pushed to separate me from my beloved pocket rockets. As a fun all mountain ski the only thing that i have tested that can touch it is next years volkl gotama or next years atomic snoop TT.

Welcome to EpicSki Elliot!

Have you had a chance to demo?  If so, what about the gotama and/or snoop made you grin?

Where do you ski, for the most part?

Hi & thanks for the welcome.

I just come back from a season in Japan, i ski a lot in Switzerland and i love to ski in North America when i get a chance.

I had a chance to demo all of the mid-fat and fat skis for next season for these companies; Salomon, Atomic, K2, Nordica, Black Diamond, Vector Glide, Volkl & possibly more i can't remember off the top of my head.

As far as the Gotama well with the size of the ski (under foot) and the fairly recent introduction of the early rise on the ski it was always going to perform well in the powder even with the bindings mounted centrally on the ski, i was blown away by it's ability on the groomers, to be more specific the edge hold was fantastic and the radius felt considerably tighter than was stamped on the ski. It was stiff enough so that it was stable at high speeds and confidence inspiring but soft enough to be able to have fun in the tree and pop off features on the side of the slopes. In my opinion the perfect one ski that would be suitable for everything.

The Atomic Snoop came in a close second on that particular test day behind the Gotama. The Snoop is a bit softer but still had fantastic edge grip and was quicker edge to edge than the Gotama's making shorter turns more enjoyable, high speed turns were also very good, again very confidence inspiring, i could really crank the ski over and feel i was getting the most out of it. I found the snoops to have a bit to much flex in the bumps where as the Gotamas performed better in that environment.

I'm sure I wouldn't be disapointed if i bought either ski for next season, oh and both skis were running Marker Jester Bindings.

What you need to do is take a picture of your quiver and post it here:

On a side note, you need to get some good HEAD in.
