EpicSki Rules/Code of Conduct Question

Thread Starter

There is an old expression among educators about “naming the elephant in the room.”  The expression is used to describe when something is wrong in the class room yet no one will name it, therefore not deal with it.

There is an elephant on one of the instructional forum threads.  A relatively new poster whose skiing credentials I have not yet seen posted has called a long-time, well-established, knowledgeable poster “crazed,” “illogical,” and most recently accused him of being on drugs and showing symptoms of psychosis.

I thought personal attacks were forbidden on EpicSki: aren’t they?

We are looking into it, thanks. In the future a post report or PM would be the preferred means of communication.

Personally, I think name calling should be allowed unless the person being attacked has been posting on this site for a decade.

Thats because you are a crazed and illogical. You are on drugs and showing symptoms of psychosis. You should see someone about that.

I was hoping this thread was about me. I'll have to try harder. :D

It should have to have nothing to do with forum participation longevity.

I wish the OP had risen in defense of new members when they were bullied by some "experienced" members.

You should have put a smiley there.

Why not count it to a century, or a millennium?
