Good deal on skis?

I have been daydreaming at my job and I've been thinking about some XC skis to take to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I've never XC skied but I know these aren't the best though they do seem to be pretty inexpensive so they caught my eye. Do these look okay to you guys?

If our intended use is cross-country skiing, the intermediate priced equipment options will get you better bindings and skis, and most importantly boots.  What kind of activity or distance do you have in mind.  We have a number of members here who are into X-C racing, skating and backcountry.

I'm really just interested in doing trips <20 miles and mostly for riding around the neighborhood when it snows.

Am I missing something? I don't see any link to the skis your refer to in your 1st post.

That's odd, it was there. It doesn't matter anyway, I've moved on; I hear this year in the East is going to be practically snowless.

You know full well that predictions are just that.  No one ever really knows.  If you want to XC ski, get some skis.
