Cookie, its seems you are very much in love with PJ's turns. Nothing wrong with that. They are great turns. Fluid and efficient. However, I think you are a bit blinded. Im with Uncle Louie and Therusty. There is a boatload of up-movement. We are not talking about looks or how badly we would like to ski like that ourselves. We are looking at it from a purely technical standpoint. PJ's turns use the traditional up-down movement pattern where he flexes and compresses after apex and then he extends into transition and the top part of the next turn.
Also when you described Ligertys skiing it was a bit confusing. You cannot extend at transition and lower your CoM at the same time. Moving it forgonnally is no trick to avoid pushing your CoM up. You need to focus on this particular movement therusty was talking about. If your inside foot extends into transition there is extention.
