Speed Control in Bumps - Page 2

I've always had trouble in the bumps, but following many of the tips in this thread have really helped. I'm not there yet, but I definitely made progress this year.

One thing that helped me was making sure I stuck to medium bumps more than the big ones. But I had to take the big ones every once in a while to remind me of the work that lies ahead.<FONT size="1">

You might be having to use your waist-hips (by bending) to absorb because you aren't using your legs enough - try bending more (LOTS more) at the ankle and knee for those holes and see if you can keep your balance better; sometimes the jolt gets you because you get a very limited range of motion when you're used to the same type of turn.
