Interesting Bike Seat

Here's a different idea on a bike seat.

Here's the company's website.

And here's the seat:

And on a bike:

What do you think?  I'm not sure.  I think it might be a good concept.  The proof is in the pudding.  Or in this case the butt!

I don't know about the seat, but I would never take my bike to the beach.

Sand and salt.

I can recall making some pretty good recoveries while (off?) trail riding; I have visions of doing myself an injury with that seat  .

WTF?

Looks like a joke 'Photochop' to me.

Might work but what happens when you cycle standing up, looks to me like your legs would hit the seat.

Yes!  Trying moving back off the saddle with that seat.

Never take your good bike, but riding on the beach is a blast!  Some places like South Padre have harder sand and you can ride for forever.

What problem is this solution looking to solve?

Fill the makers pockets with cash  (good luck with that!)

seems cool for just a commuter bike or something.  Interesting concept for sure, I wonder if it'll be refined and improved on down the road.  It really does make sense to a certain extent, the way it evenly distributes pressure.  I'm not entirely convinced it would be comfortable/practical, but it's definitely thinking outside the box, which I'm always a fan of.

I think sand and salt wouldnt affect a simple single speed CX bike as much as anything else.
