Looks like Squaw Valley has plans to open for Saturday and Sunday of Memorial weekend to take advantage of the spring snow

Skied three days at the Basin this week, it's not going to be around much longer. If it keeps hitting 70+ in Summit it will be hard for them to make it another week.

Friend of mine with a Squaw pass skipped going to Squaw this weekend and drove to Mammoth. Said Mammoth was very, very good.

squaw was fun on sunday, but the snow was pretty schwag.  it would've been much, much better had it not snowed... oh well.  it felt good to do the annual shirley -> kt hike to end the season.

I heard a rumor that Squaw might open for the 4th of July celebration.

Haven't heard that, but the way the snow pack is sticking around could be possible. Maybe.
