You misread the post. Slider had Bill Johnson's old DHs. The Rossis are mine and always have been. I used them in 1977 on the World Cup and skied them this year for hysterical, er, historical reasons. I enjoy skiing on old gear for the reminiscences. Old can be good. I won an Epic Ski Pass on a pair of 1977 Rossi Rocs this year. Not bad for an old ski. Of course it was straight ski race: Jimmie Heuga Memorial Vintage Ski Race. It pays to hold on to the old stuff sometimes.
Mastersracer/slider: OOPS. I got lost in the Rossi DH copies. I skied on Rossi Rocs. I liked the Atomic GS's - then, too. Talk about no grooming and bent skis. I tried some well preserved Volkl P20 RS and Renntigers five years ago - $10 each and Clean/sharp...Did a few runs and went home for something with side-cut.
