It truly shocks me that there are people who fail to comprehend "angry guy's" reaction to having his life endangered by the reckless behavior of others. Yes sliding around on snow is a risky activity, but that doesn't entitle anyone to abandon their own responsibility to ride in such a way as to minimize the risks to others.
He wasn't hurt. The only thing that got hurt was his ego, hitting the snow with the wrong end, so he decided to make it right his way. Someone else mentioned earlier that "that's the normal way normal people react". Oh, really.
If he were to seek justice, he should have had the guy arrested, charged, tried in the court of law, and punished accordingly. But he came up charging with a pole in his hand as if he had just been threatened by a group of thugs and trying for some kind of preemptive self-defense.
He kept bullying the guy, after he calmly assessed that he or his friends are not of the aggressive kind. He was truly pathetic, throwing the guy's skis down the hill. Truly pathetic.
I have witnessed and participated in my fair share of close encounters. I don't remember any of them turned physical. Totally inappropriate.
