Hi
For me a perfect real pole length is 48". I ordered some poles advertised as 48" but real length is 47". Is that a reason to return these poles? How companies fabricate theirs poles. At exact nominal size?
thanks

If it's a problem for you, then take them back to the shop and change them.
How do you know that 48" is ideal? Is that based on testing with another pole? If so, had you measured it's exact length?

I can't see how skiing with 1" shorter poles would be a problem; most people have poles that are too long anyways.
Then again, I don't need no schtinking pole plants!

Because my old poles were too long. I customized them twice to excat 48" and after over 10 ski trips I came to conclusion they were perfect. I wanted new lighter poles so I got online 48" Leki. I hit the slope with new poles and I really fill the difference of this 1". Maybe I need some more time to adjust to it.
Could you guys measure your poles tip to grip top and let me know how it compare to the nominal length?

Have you tried 47"?
If 48 was so much better than longer, then 47" might be even better.   If you have bracketed it on both sides, then send the poles back.

We never ski them tip to grip top.

We only ski them basket to grip top.
