15th was never so good!  We met up with VSP- Ric in the AM, after a lesson on Gummy Bears we headed up, still crusty but immaculately groomed cord was on the menu. The back bowls were still hard and since i haven't been on ski's fro 2 months, a few laps on the groomers did me some good. If you haven't skied with Phil or Ric, there's really only one speed; fast. After a few runs Ric took us into Blue sky, to our suprise, the snow was creamy soft; near perfection, Hopefully Ric will post up where we skied but it was all good. Lunch time was great at the top of bue sky- people cooking brats and burgers in the warm sun having a great time.  This is what spring skiing is all about; good turns & good people enoying the mountains.

Ric of course is truly a Pro and he was gracious enough to help we work on some technique that instantly improved my skiing,  Thanks Ric!!!  I will never look at bridges the same way :)

We hooked up with a few of Ric fellow instructors at the end of the day for some final runs, the snow was getting sloppy.  Beers, sitting in the sun; not a bad way to end a great day.  Then off to dinner at Minturn CC for 2.99 (not a typo) NY strips! It was great.

Here's some pics

will post when I can, still having issues

Hey Finn. Glad to see you and Philpug are getting your fair share of the goods. Should have been forewarned about VSP's discriminating taste in Gummy Bears.

Judging from the pics, from top to bottom

Looks like y'all hopped the cornice at either Heavy Metal, (my best guess,) or Ptarmigan Ridge.

You got a glimmer of the Utah red snow

You dropped into Sun Up via Milt's Face or Campbell's

You got Philpug got close enough to VSP to have his pocket picked near the top of Teacup Bowl

You met my buddy Paul on the patio of B&Y's

Kids and dogs running free at the above mentioned B&Y's

Enjoy the rest of your stay.

I'm pretty impressed with that jump off the cornice! I thought it was around Ghengis off Tea Cupp lift. Anyway, Phil you're the man. Glad conditions are holding up.

I think the forecast next week is colder and snowier. Of course this weather applies after Vail closes Sunday

Love Bart and Yetti's being a big dog fan. Like a lot of dog owners I guess the people that own the place feel, if dogs offend you, don't bother coming in. That's great. Doesn't bother me, I eat every night with my dog at my feet waiting for a bite.

Man I 'm having season ending issues. Hit the ball crappy again at the range at lunch.

Another killer day today, Ron will post up some pics. Ric took us all over the mountain and we just had a blast. It got a bit slushy early so we came in and had a bunch of beers and wings.

BZZZZZ! Try again!

As far as GUMMI (with an Umlautten over the U) Bears go, the only interest Phil and Ron had was a certain young blonde snowboard instr who knew I always have them in my pocket...

The "cornice" drop was on Iron Mask
The shot of Phil is part way down 'In the Wuides' in Earl's Bowl
The shot of Phil and I was at the top of Jade Glade, as is the shot looking across China Bowl

No doubt about beers on the deck at Bart and Yeti's!!! It has become our standard after ski hangout! (Lot's of very nice scenery there...)
