My SAT will be around an 11/16 (i know, not too great) and my ACT will be a little above average.
My GPA is about a 3.6/4, which is pretty decent.
I plan on majoring in education (elementary) and def. need to be looking at colleges that offer that.
I have been skiing for 13 years and live in NY, which means I hit not-so-great snow. I took a trip to CO with my father, hit the pow and backcountry, and decided I need to go to a college that is around great mountains (I don't mean OK mountains, i mean great mountains. I know ski mountains shouldn't be a main concern when applying for a college, but sadly, it is. Needs to have that West powder and good backcountry, etc.(aka not a family-friendly 10% diamond slopes)
I was and still am thinking about applying for the University of Utah, I know it is roughly 20k a year, but I'm pretty sure I can get some sort of grant/loan/scholarship that can help me out. I've read many reviews, and about half of them say it is a dead community with not much nightlife , basically nothing to do. Of course partying and all that isn't really a factor, I would like to escape from the college and acedemics , and go out with some ppl to the local town or w/e.
What it comes down to is that I need to find a college that is under ~22k, including dowming, that is not a bad school... I consider myself pretty smart and don't really want to end up going to a community college. Also, I would like something close to a greatt mountain. Doesn't really matter where it is located (West, East, w/e.) since I'll be dorming there. Rural/urban, etc doesnt matter either, I like small communities but I can handle big cities as well..
Sorry for the long post, THXX FOR ANY HELP!
