Right now I have my eyes two pairs of skis, the Gotama and the P4. I'm looking for a ski that can hold up well in both wet california conditions and in dryer colorado snow as well. In terms of terrain I'm a fairly expert skier am looking for a ski that can handle doing cliffs, steep chutes and stuff like that. For the past 3 years I've been riding a pair of 178 Scratch BC's and have found them to be too soft in heavy snow and a little heavy, so I'm also wondering if I should shift to a shorter length. I'm a fairly small guy, (5' 10'' 170), but strong and looking for a ski that can can help me send it; any input appreciated.
