Silver Mountain April 2

It was a nice day today at Silver Mountain in Idaho.  I met Pete No. Idaho, GarryZ, and Van for a little bit of skiing.  A storm blew in about 1pm and started spitting snow.  Tomorrow should be a nice powder day.  I'm thinking of ditching the pool tournament to ski, because today's snow was really really good, and I hear they're closing on Sunday.  Dang.

Here's Pete and Van, enjoying their day.

This looks like..... yes........ I believe it is.............Three Stooges!   Me, Pete and Garry!

And where do the Stooges hang out?  Why, the Jackass chair, natch.

Here's Garry, standing tall and smiling, having some fun.

Half an hour later, he's accusing me of pushing him down as he got off the lift.  I cry foul!  I was 6 feet behind him and laughing as he did a slow-motion roll to check out the snow conditions close up.  We all know he was putting on his best Gaper Show for the guy in the next picture........

Wave that butt flap, baby!!

On the way home, it was spitting snow pretty good on Fourth of July Pass.   Predictions of 6-10" of fluffy for Silver by tomorrow.   So, pool tournament or ski tomorrow?  Hmmmm.....

Bonni has her lst tournament tommorrow Minnesota Bonni is  launching a new career.

Think I'm going to ski in  4-8 inches of powder.  Try to remember my camera and get some pics.

Hey, playing pool  I beat Des Moines Dave who beat  Tacoma Whitey who beat Minnesota Fats and I'd ski too

Six feet away and we came off the lift next to each other ? Needed some more room eh ? My apologies .I was just testing the compaction level of the snow for your Majesty.  It was firm yet cushioned by the fresh snow.

I had a great time and thanks to Pete for showing me around. We found some interesting stuff to slide down.
Bonni looks comfortable  at Silver Mt and ran us off to play a bit while she did laps . We would meet her at the lift or between every run if we didn't stick together. I'll be coming back to learn how to navigate to the goods offered at Silver.

Thanks all, good snow ,good company and good beer. What more could we ask for ?

Did you do any tree skiing with Pete?  He's particularly good in the trees, after all Squatty taught him.

Pool?  Pool?  They play that indoors, right?.....in just about any weather?....all year around?

Thanks for the story and the pics!

Woke up with a huge headache.    I won't be skiing today.   Perhaps tomorrow.  I'll try the tournament today.

Garry.....I was on the left and you were in the middle, Pete on the right when we got off the lift.  We were going right....to give you room I went off to the left a little and then straight out.  I was nowhere near you when you started to tip.......that's why you didn't know where I was.   Lunge, parry, thrust!
Thanks for checking the snow.  I found it more than acceptable!  tee hee

I just noticed a small bruise on my left shoulder. It's a round one, just the shape of a ski pole.

She's dangerous I tell ya. I think we should take her poles away from her. Somebody could get hurt.

Last day at Mt Spo and I'mj dawdling ,see ya all later. Enjoy Silver Pete ,you got about a half a foot additional over the night to play on.

Looked like a great day @ Silver.

You should ski.  Silver can be 'KELLOGG good' with new snow, and the pools are not open yet in Spokane.

As for the headache story, could it be Pete induced Moose Drool flu?

nah, moose drool flu is induced by VA and "he who can't be named" and GarryZ and a campfire in MT somewhere and tippy camp chairs and Bonni was there too but not imbibing and it involved ---- hmmm---- me on her left and a tipping action too as I recall....and and and....

I had the headache then and probably a bruise or two somewhere as well....

I rest my case.

Oh and how long are ski poles and  the little troublemakers' arms ?  I'd say about 6 feet.

Did Squatty teach him how to duck ropes too ?  Remember Garry duck the first one but stop at the second.

Yeah we found some trees to dodge.
