Numerous major site problems

Thread Starter
In addition to the page load issues, the site is just all messed up.

I almost always have to log in.  Before I do the new posts page has very old posts
Pages don't load, I get endless white blank pages and can't even reload the new posts page
The pop-up menu for quick forum navigation doesn't work at times.

Epic is broken, please fix it.

Mac/Snow Leopard/Safari

But as you can see in the endless page load thread Windows users are having major problems too.

SMJ, getting logged off and having to log back in frequently sounds like your cookies (or MAC equivilant) aren't getting saved.  Check to be sure your browser is set to allow cookies, the highest security settings don't allow cookies by default.

My cookies are being saved, i didn't change anything on my system, used to stay logged in fine.  This seems to be part of the problem the site is having now.

My username and password are even showing in the login box.

It took me 10 or more attempts to get to this page from the new posts menu.  every time had to log in.

only way i got here was by navigating, not logged in, to the forum and clicking on the thread title, that logged me in and put me in the thread.

Don't know if this helps but I can't get anywhere when I log in with Firefox ( XP Pro/ Firefox 3.630 unless I restart firefox via disabling an add in.

However on the Same PC with IE version 6.0.2900 with SP2 it seems to work OK.

I was receiving an error message when clicking on links that I was attempting to open an applications which is an Octet Stream.  Frank was working on this over the past couple days and it seemed to work pretty well.

I will forward this issue.

Thanks for posting the error message.  We had some difficulties with the search server but things should be much much better as of last week.  We also re-built the search index as well.  Let me know if you see any other issues.
