Question about Elan Speedwave 14 mounting point

I just picked up a new pair of Speedwave 14's (1st gen) at a ridiculous price that I just couldn't pass up for a ski I've always wanted to try.  Anyways, I've noticed a couple of comments on Epic suggestion that Elan has the bindings mounted too far forward.  If so, how much adjustment does the Fusion system allow?  I won't be skiing them till next season, unfortunately, but any tips are appreciated.

Have the shop adjust the binding for a BSL 10mm smaller then adjust the heel back 5mm. I think 10mm is the max that can be adjusted.

Do you think I should try the rearward position first, or wait till I ski them a bit?

Well, I got the skis and was able to back them up 1cm, but that is the max with my 325mm boots.

Having read up on the skis here as much as possible, I have to wonder if the 176 is going to be too long for me at 6' 155 lbs.  I tend to ski pretty aggressively and fast most of the time, so I'm hoping not.  Have to wait until next season to find out, though.

Not too much ski for your height but you sound light, that is where I think it might be fairly beefy. Usually, I like this series for a stouter built person. Not the first ski I would have suggested if you walked into my shop.

Point taken, and if I had a choice I would have chosen the 168. No worries though, the price was so low that I'm not really risking anything if I'm not happy with them - I'll just move on to something else. Trying new equipment is all part of the skiing experience that I enjoy.

keep in  mind also makes a Speedwave 12, same ski but with only one sheet on titanal instead of the 2 sheets the 14 has.
