+1...works great.

Agreed.  The forums badly need a mobile phone version.  Currently they are almost unusable on a Blackberry.

+1 as well.  I have a difficult time reading this site on my Windows Mobile phone, yet I do it 2-3 times a day.

What would it take for EpicSki to implement this? Scrolling through everything on a BB is painful and slow. If used, could it make PMing efficient?

The ap linked above is specifically for vBulletin, IPBoard, phpBB and SMF forums.   I'll ask Christina to take a look and comment on the mobile interface.  Huddler works ok on my iPhone, but is not ideal.  Blackberry is a lost cause on the internet, and I have prematurely retired my Blackberry Bold.

This is absolutely in the future plans.  We're still strategizing on how to implement this in the best way, but we definitely want to get you browsing better on your phones!

It seems to be inconsistent. Clicking on update emails, it's (or was) not always easy to see an entire thread. The threads are at the bottom and everything needs to load before you can scroll all the way down to read just the one or two posts in a thread you wish to see.

Additionally, it seems that when quotes are made and replies there are always a handful of 'too many' line spaces above and below responses/quotes. This incrementally adds page length and adds scrolling, along with bits of time. Some spacing is good, but seems like you could shave a few lines for each post.

Hi all - I spoke with our engineers a bit more on this topic.

TapaTalk could provide a decent solution to access forums through mobile browsers, but wouldn’t support wikis, reviews, galleries, lists, PMs etc. without custom coding from them and us (~15% of page views) so we're not sure the investment in TapaTalk would be worth it to then scrap it to do a more comprehensive solution. The technology that most caught our eye as far as potentially providing a comprehensive mobile version is Yahoo Blueprint:

It makes it easy to create sites that are compatible with a large number of phone/browser combos (including BBs!)  But we might want to do something more custom/interesting just for iPhone/Android in addition.  Anyway, we haven't done all the homework and this would be a huge project to do well, but given the macro-trends in the industry, we obviously have to be paying attention to mobile strategy. Sorry the answer isn't, "we're on it this second!" but it's definitely a priority. Thanks.

Well I tried submitting this from my Blackberry, but the submit button did nothing:

Can you have threads load first? When clicking on updates, all the other stuff loads first and above the recent thread of interest. Here in the mountains, signals are variable and can be real slow.

Using this Blackberry or other mobile device, it'd be nice to click a photo of existing conditions or views and upload directly to a thread post.

Just a little bump.  How's this stand on the priority list these days?

Bump the bump. I too am curious. I like to read Epic on my iPod Touch apres ski at restaurants with WiFi.
