How to buy another pair of skis without my wife finding out ????? - Page 3

I buy six identical pairs every time. B**** hasn't a clue. They all look the same.

Step 1: Don't post said question in a public forum

Step 2: Find a Buddy with Storage Space

Step 3: Pay in Cash

So, how do I buy these skis without my wife finding out ?

Looking forward to creative suggestions !

If you buy 6 different pair and only keep one in the house you could convince her she's going insane when she thinks you have different pairs...A quiver and cheap entertainment

Oh Master of quiver builders, how do you buy a new pair of skis without her finding out?

Here's the real secret.....

Everyone knows the best way to make her oblivious to your ever increasing quiver is to give her an ever increasing quiver.

Exactly!!!!  If you are in a relationship with someone who doesn't want you to have said quiver or who doesn't want their own quiver....then maybe you should find someone else to be in said relationship!?

Hide them well in the garage. Once the season starts and your wife asks if those are new skis, honestly reply that you have had these for quite a while.

That's what I do with new shoes and my husband. Not the garage, maybe the car trunk, or my closet. Actually, it doesn't work anymore, but it did for a while.

With skis, if it's off-season, sort of the same thing. Once I bought a new pair of exactly the same skis as my old ones, but just longer. I didn't bother to tell him. Don't know if he noticed or not. Another time, it was before Christmas so I told him not to look in any boxes that might be delivered, then I put them under my side of the bed. Don't know if he was expecting new skis for Christmas or not, but he didn't get them.

Actually, he doesn't seem to care too much ... now the kids are the ones who notice, " Why do you have so many skis, MOM???? That's weird!!!" (I'm down to 3 pairs, though, so it isn't really a problem.) (And I told them that I have stopped growing, and they haven't, but when they do, they can have as many skis as they want to buy.)

Beware of the "three prices you pay syndrome,"

1 - The price you paid for the item. 2 - The price you tell her you paid for the item. 3 - The price you pay when she finds out the price you paid.
