TR - Mt Hood Ski Bowl March 27, 2010

This season has been a crappy snow year at Ski Bowl. 8" fresh Saturday, but on top of maybe 18" base. Under the trees, it's just a dusting over branches, sticks, stumps, logs and open streams. Gives "bushwhacking" a whole new meaning.

We decided to hit Ski Bowl because we haven't been able to ski it much this year. The Outback area (best terrain) has been closed all year due to lack of coverage. Unless a miracle happens, Outback won't open at all this season.

A peek into the Outback...and why it's not worth poaching:

Seriously...you should try a Snowboard in that second clip. Now get the hell out of there until there's more snow!

Look like EOB at Lookout.   Last time down had to take ski's off and walk thru some dirt.  Ugh.  That kind of year up here too.

We did a wink-wink nod-nod with a patroller before we went. Sentimental run and I had to have it once this season.
