salomon z12 binding able to move

I just purchased a new set of skis with the z12 binding.
I am a little bit concerned because I am able to move the binding 2mm up or down along the ski. Screws are very tight, but you just can move the binding 2mm to the top or the tail of the ski.

is this normal?

Which part of the binding, toe or heel piece?  If it's just the heel piece sliding in the track, I wouldn't worry about it.  That assumes the bindings were set properly though.  If someone backed the heel too far off the track for some reason, then it could be a problem.  Pictures?

it always slides, no mather what piece you grab, the toe or heel piece. It seems that when you grab a piece, both pieces move along the track several millimeters.

Oh, that's a system mount, not a flat mount.  What you're describing is 100% normal.  There is a small amount of slop in that particular type of Salomon system mount when there is not a boot in.  When you put a boot in it will be rigid and not move.

I just mounted a boot. I can now move the boot forward or backward... just 2mm

so it moves over the rail just one "click".

is it possible that there is a difference between the z12ti and the z12 ? or is this just a color?

maybe the z12 (as is mounted on my xwing tornado ti) is slightly different then the z12ti ?

I also just bought a pair of SALOMON ENDUROs, with Z12 installed.

After the boot is in the binding, the upper part of the heel of the binding (the one that goes up when the boot is atached) seems loose. There is nos screw to tighten, nor do I feel anything wrong. I have been kiing for a week with no problem. This thing happens to both bindings.

At a ski repair shop they told me hat there is nothing wrong, but I am just wondering.

Is this normal ?
