i ski 5+ hrs a day 5-6 days a week every year all april and may... i'd say i do more than my fair share of spring skiing. it is my favorite thing in the world.
yes, i've found patches of sticky snow, but my remedy is to find places that had shade in the morning and that are nice and steep. kt is full of them.
obviously fresh fallen snow on a warm day causes problems... obviously there are times when the corn doesn't form perfectly... but in general the corn is great on a daily basis at squaw.
my point is that tuning is a non-factor for me. i generally ski about 90 days a year and rarely tune my skis more than once per season. i use the same skis every day.
