It was looking like spring up at the Bird yesterday, day number 38 of the season...

Is it cool to post a groomer skiing POV footage? I'd prefer some off-piste action even if the conditions were refrozen crap. -))

Yes it's cool because yesterday was good times up at the ski hill.  I have nothing to prove with my skiing ability, I can ( and do ) ski the hardest "off-piste action" Snowbird has to offer.  So, I ski where it's fun to ski, sometimes that means the steeps off trail, sometimes it means the groomed.

No explanation needed UTPP.   Thanks for your effort & contribution sharing all your videos of late.  It’s all good stuff from the bird.  Oh…and give the bird to anyone nitpicking your effort who hasn’t contributed a TR pic let alone vid that I’m aware of

heh, I didn't mean to offend you, man. your skiing is ok, just watching refrozen crudbusting action is more exhilarating than watchin groimers.

I wasn't offended, don't watch my video if you don't fine it entertaining.  The point of that video was for the ending anyway ( where my buddy watches me walk through the creekside deck, shakes his head and tells me that I look like "one bad A$$ muther f-er" in my new helmet, LOL.

Like it!

You are showing a whole different side of the Bird.

Hey UTPP,

Love your videos.  Really liked the fact that the sun was behind you so we can see your shadow skiing.  Was the first part of your vid one of the green runs off to the right side of Mineral Basin?  Saw the Baldy Express so I assume so.  Which one was it?  Was that the whole run or just part of it (you went through it in, what 2 minutes?)

What was that second long run you took?  Chips?

How about that really wide part @ 5 minutes?

And that part at 6 minutes that goes between the trees (after you took a little break)?

Just trying to scope out the mountain.

Regards,

Mario

Thanks, glad you like my videos.

The first part is a blue run off baldy express.  I believe it's called Bassanova.  Lupine Loop gets you there from the mineral basin side of the tunnel.
The "second long run" is Bassackwards from the top of Gad II to the top of Big Emma.  My buddies call it "Larry H. Miller" which is a race track out west of SLC.  They like to FLY down this one, lol.  Looks much slower on the video.
The "really wide part" at 5:00 is Big Emma.
The part at 6:00 that goes between the trees is called "Cat Crew Cutoff" or is it "Wilbere cutoff", it's just to the right of "Wilber Ridge" where the race course is.

Thanks man.  I see them all on my trail map and will try to follow your lines.
I really do appreciate it!  Keep those vids coming and maybe I will run into you (hopefully not literally).

I plan on posting some of my vids (taken from a canon is880 loosely strapped around my neck).  Hopefully my belly wont have them all pointing towards the sky.

They are pretty entertaining actually. Just they could be even more so! -))

Keep on posting the good stuff!

If you see me up at Snowbird, say hi, I'm probably kind of hard to miss, I'm the 6'8" 340 pound powerlifter who looks like "one bad a$$ muther f-er" in my new helmet, according to my snowboard buddy in this video I posted ( lol, sorry, enough of that I guess ).  I'd be cool to meet somebody up on the ski hill who's watched my videos online, lol.

Will do.  My best friend is 6-4 and about 320.  Being 5-8, 180, my neck muscles have been trained already! ;)
