Thinking about going to SLC in early April. Is the snow usually good then? Does it get slushy at the base, or at the top? Are daily temps at Snowbird & Alta decent? Is it usually clear, rainy, foggy or whatever?
Are areas fully open midweek? I would buy a Salt Lake City Super Pass and ski at Alta, Snowbird, maybe Solitude and Brighton Ski Resorts, use the shuttle to get to the snow.
Any and all comments on SLC are welcome. I've never been there and I'm thinking of getting in some western spring skiing. Please let me know your experiences and what I might expect.
I'm tempted to go to SLC because I skied Squaw this year and Lake Placid last year, so.... SLC is the only remaining US Olympic venue I have not skied yet...
Are there better places than SLC for spring skiing? Colorado? ALL comments are welcome! Thanks so much
