I guess I'll be talking to myself too!

Yay Zags on a gritty win against the #1 defensive team in the country! Tomorrow Syracuse gets to sample our Spokamojo.

No dogs in the fight here.  I guess Kentucky is a sentimental favorite of many of my Dad's surviving relatives.

We're watching theNIT

Well, thanks for stopping by, Charles. Gonzaga women play UNC in the first round. I'll take the GU women after watching them play in Las Vegas.

Got the women on the back burner.  The Healthcare Reform arguments and protests

are by far the most exciting thing on the tube today.

The Lady Zags just beat Texas A&M 72-71 in a buzzer beater.

Congrats to MSU but losing Lucas could be decisive. Enjoy the ride.

Looks like my Sooners are still alive on the ladies' side, though I must admit I have trouble following the womens tournament(s?).  What miracles would need to occur for someone to defeat UConn?  I do recall seeing that they have absolutely massacred every opponent this year.

"My Sooners"? I thought it was "my Tarheels"?

Naw, I'm Tarheel spouse.  I went to OU undergrad and did my grad work in the U-Texas system...  Looks like they have Notre Dame next

Just saw this thread.

Yes, I am suddenly a huge Cornell bball booster  -- yes, there is no better fan than a fair weather fan!

I didn't think that the Big Red could possibly beat Wisconsin, so naturally I can't imagine them beating Kentucky...

Cornell has won a lot of fans--their success is especially amazing since there are no scholarship players on the team. Go Red! (I am not a fan of Coach Cal).

Now Syracuse? This is getting ridiculous....

and that K-State/Xavier game was unbelievable too...

Syracuse! Why did we have to get that team's best effort? Madness!

Anyone believe that there was someone to pick the first two rounds PERFECT?  Thus guy also has Purdue beating Duke.  I'd really enjoy seeing that!

Well, the Lady Sooners are still alive and UNC is playing for the Not In Tourney title.  I live about four blocks from the Duke campus so I'm really hoping that  WV beats DOOK.  There are way too many big mouth DOOK fans around here that need to be brought back down to earth..

Really though, I guess I can be a little happy that Duke is doing well for my friends that teach at Duke or are on other programs there.  I have doctors at Duke to thank for two healthy kids and a brain tumor free wife.

I don't anticipate the Lady Sooners or anybody else beating UCONN.  That is probably the most dominant basketball team of all time at any level.

I have WV beating Duke, Butler beating MSU, and UConn taking the championship on the women's side. I'm playing for a Papa John's pizza. Woot-woot!

I have WV beating Duke in my MSN.com bracket.  But, that is about all I got right in that thing!

The Tarheels have the dubious distinction of being the first team in NCAA history to win the NCAA tourney one year and be playing for the NIT Championship the next year.  Regardless, the flag is waving out front and we will pass around the hot wings and chips watching the game.

****BEWARE DVR PEOPLE------ SEMI SPOILER********

Ok that was ridiculous!!! What a game. Other than the fact that they stop every two minutes for ads so that a 40 min game takes 2.5 hours.  But seriously, what a game! The way this tournament went I was actually surprised that heave DIDN'T go in!!!

It was a great game--no team lost, even though a winner was declared. Butler broke the BCS barrier--I hope Gonzaga can follow their lead, maybe next year!

Be sure to watch the women's championship tonight on ESPN. Maya Moore is special. An amazingly talented player who is also a Rhodes scholar.

We had choppers buzzing our house as the Duke students burned their benches all night long.  Glad they had fun.  Nothing compares to a National Championship party on or near campus.  Congrats to them and their coach.

Bump!  Last call to fill out brackets.  I picked Kentucky in one and Florida State in another.  I also have Baylor making it to the sweet 16.

Final Four:

Kentucky

Florida State-beats Syracuseeek.gif

Missouri

Kansas or North Carolina?

Enjoy the games!
